TECHNICAL SYMPOSIA

• Wireless Networking Symposium

Weihua Zhuang, University of Waterloo, wzhuang@bbcr.uwaterloo.ca
Jelena Misic, University of Manitoba, jmisic@cs.umanitoba.ca
Jing Deng, Uniersity of New Orleans, jing@cs.uno.edu
Murat Alanyali, Boston Uniersity, alanyali@bu.edu

Wireless communication networks are expected to encompass heterogeneous access technologies and the Internet backbone for providing multimedia services to both mobile and stationary users. It poses significant technical challenges to enable broadband wireless access with seamless and ubiquitous coverage and quality-of-service provisioning. The objective of this symposium is to serve as an international forum for experts from academia and industry to exchange ideas and results on research and development, and to promote and accelerate standardization, applications, and services of current and future wireless communication networks. Prospective authors are invited to submit original contributions on all aspects in wireless networks, applications and services, including, but not limited to, the following topics of interest. Please note that this Symposium covers the link and higher layers of the network protocol stack and, therefore, papers related to radio communications at the physical layer should be submitted to other symposia (such as the Wireless Communications Symposium) dedicated to issues at the physical layer.
